Responsibilities

Summary/Responsibilities of this position:

 

A Beer and Wine Sales Specialist will be responsible for evaluating and selling beer and wine for new and existing retail customers by performing the following duties. .

Responsibilities:
- Fronts and stocks beer and wine and related products daily.

- Tastes wines, beer, and cigars (stores with humidors) in a controlled environment to learn characteristics.

- Maintains sanitation in the department.

- Educates customers on the differences in taste profile, pairings, etc. of all products in the department.

- Sells beer and wine and provides customer service.

- Responsible for signage in department. 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION PREFERRED
-Typically requires 2-5 years of related experience.

- Extensive beer and wine knowledge preferred.

- Understanding of weights & measures preferred.

- Strong customer service and public relations skills preferred.

- Cigar knowledge is preferred.

- Completion of Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Certification for Sellers.

- Materials equipment handling certification 

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Function in a fast-paced, retail environment

- Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis
